Twitter is apparently working on enabling customers to add their Ethereum and Bitcoin addresses to their profiles to obtain cryptocurrency suggestions. Twitter could use the addition to upgrade the Tip Jar feature it introduced earlier this year.
Twitter is working on permitting customers to obtain suggestions on Bitcoin via Tip Jar. In July, CEO Jack Dorsey had referred to as Bitcoin a “big part” of its future in conversation with investors and analysts, suggesting its implementation.
Alessandro Paluzzi, a mobile app developer, has identified references about the San Francisco-based business adding the feature and posted a tweet with screenshots of the new choices.
The very first screenshot appears to recommend that Twitter would let customers copy the Ethereum and Bitcoin addresses to send suggestions working with Tip Jar. The second and third screenshots show the capability to add Ethereum and Bitcoin addresses to user profiles.
Paluzzi also posted a screenshot on his Twitter account that suggests the Tip Jar feature will have Bitcoin help. Kayvon Beykpour, Twitter’s item lead, also seemed to confirm the development by replying to the tweet with a lightning bolt emoji and one more comment saying “soon”.
Beykpour, having said that, did not offer you any other detail with regards to when the feature would grow to be readily available for customers. However, Paluzzi’s screenshot does recommend that the tech giant would look at The Lightning Network payment transfer technologies to permit suggestions on Bitcoin.
Twitter introduced the Tip Jar feature in May to permit journalists, creators, and non-earnings the chance to monetise their tweets as suggestions.
