Cmd: 74% think threat detection is the greatest safety challenge for digital transformation

74% of respondents think threat detection and 62% of respondents think cloud safety are the greatest safety challenges for digital transformation initiatives, according to a study commissioned by Cmd and carried out by ViB.

Since the Covid-19 pandemic, 58% of digital transformation projects have been considerably or somewhat accelerated. The analysis also identified that 72% of respondents anticipate to be completed with their transformation in yet another 18 months. Most digital transformation initiatives (77%) are in the early course of action.

55% of respondents reported that safety was the principal challenge, 45% reported lack of spending budget, and 41% reported the existing state of IT infrastructure.

52% of the respondents see safety getting a challenge in these digital transformation projects for the reason that of a lack of spending budget, 47% see abilities and experience as lacking, and finish-user behavior contributes 37% to why securing these environments continue to be a challenge for some.

The study, carried out on the existing state of digital transformation, interviewed more than 266 pre-screened IT, cloud, and safety experts. The survey, carried out in the summer season of 2021, was designed to uncover the timing of digital transformation projects, the greatest challenges, and if digital transformation has come to be more critical provided the current Covid-19 pandemic. 55% of the respondents are from organizations with more than 1000 staff, and 75% of the respondents had been director-level roles.
